Cairo Knife Fight is an electrifying and powerful band out of New Zealand that’s taking the world by force, one tour after another. With Mars Volta/Radiohead-esque tones, they’ve fought their way onto AP’s list of bands to watch this year, and AP has got it right.
WHR had the privilege of sitting down for a chat with the personalities behind the group. That exclusive interview will be featured in our next print issue. Subscribe today to make sure you get it.
Just to tease you, here’s what Aaron Tokona had to say about the band and what drives them:
WHR – So why do you do it?
A – Well…it’s just what we do. Some people are artists because they want to be famous…and others have to do it because it’s part of their DNA. If I weren’t doing Cairo Knife Fight, I’d be doing something else. I have to.
Look for more from them in the next issue of WHR.
Meanwhile, check out the new video the band just released.

Hey that’s not half bad.
